Taking a break from trials– My husband passed away in July 2019 and I have sold everything I own and moved into an RV. We will be taking time off from trials to travel this beautiful country and see what there is to see. Covid closures put a damper on the travel plans, but will be getting back on the road in Jan. 2022.
Update: March 1, 2025: After lots of travel and sightseeing and hanging out in remote wooded areas for a couple weeks at a time, all of which I LOVED, the economy and direction the world seemed headed forced me to settle back down. I found 4 abandoned acres in SC and have spent 2 years transforming it into a homestead. I have done several FCAT and CAT fun runs with Voodoo, some Barn Hunting (one trial and some fun runs between trials), and he earned his CWAGS ARF (Agility/Rally/Freestyle) title.
Voodoo will be turning 9 at the end of March 2025 (where does the time go?!) but he’s still doing great.
Dazzle is closing in on 17 yrs old and his brain is still sharp and wanting to be active, but his muscles are starting to fail his desires. 😦
